Alright, alright, Lia beat my lazy butt to the punch, so I guess it's about time I uploaded these. There's just so...very...many. Seriously, guys, this is gonna be a crazy image-heavy post, because I'm like a little kid handed glue and glitter--I've got no concept of "Enough." If it's just too darn big, tell me, and I'll do it in parts, or something. Also, I've got massive red-eye going on in all of these. Sorry.

We all arranged to meet Friday evening...



First guys there were Flash and Zoom, naturally.

I chucked my T-bomb at Flash, he missed it, and Zoom and I gave him grief for slow reflexes. But Zoom's no Rogue, and Flash is Flash, so we were just hangin' out, kind awkwardly...



And then these two showed, and things really heated up.

Zap Crackle PUNCH!



It's PLAYTIME!

But Axel being the annoying little tag-along that he is, tensions ran high.


"I swear to Twain, Axel, I am going to **** your **** up."
"Puh-lease, saiyan-hair."


"Okay, okay! Geeze!"


Real!Trickster showed up at some point to join the fun. But the 'Con just ain't big enough for two Tricksters!

And then we started arguing about who's fault it was that we got caught, and Len and Mick got into a fight, which Axel thought was hi-larious.

But then everyone's like "Dude, why are we hitting each other, when we can just hit Axel?"

So they did.

But we's still family.



Gah, kid, grow up already.


Then the official photoshoot finished up, but by then, we were totally Rogues, and didn't want to stop hanging together just yet.
So what did we do?



That's right, we went to a bar!


To crime!


Piper's paying, so he can come back in.



Is there anything that better embodies the Rogues?


Somebody put the Combines on. Who cares about football?


Poor Len, nobody loves you, and there are no hookers.

Axel was starting to get on Cold's nerves.

Fine, you win. (Curse your hilarious and adorable lip-quiver of grumpiness.)


For serious, guys, I can't imagine having done a better cosplay. Once the Rogues started gathering, we all just clicked, and it was kind of amazing. Like Beau (MirrorMaster) said--I guess folks who like these guys enough to dress up as 'em just have enough in common in all the right ways to get along. Beau (who, along with the Piper, made a lot of the costumes) was really nice about my costume, and even said that it made him wish the second Trickster had been a girl. Bless, now I actually like McCulloch.

And because pretty much all of these guys knew each other and had cosplayed together before, and I was the newb, I totally slid straight into Trickster II's role of the new-punk-on-the-block, tagging along with the older, more experienced vets (also wound up ordering at a bar-not-a-pub for the first time ever. I'm not good at it, as it turns out), while they were willing to show the new kid the ropes.

I hung with MM, Cold, and Piper for the rest of the night, and when it was close to midnight, and a drunk, sleep-deprived me had no idea how to get back to my hotel, Beau's girlfriend offered to walk me back, and Beau insisted I call him to make sure I got back safe. When I thanked him, he just grinned and said what we all know:


"Rogues are Family."


So, to sum up, it was awesome. Mega-thanks go to Allen, the guy on the yuku and cosplay.com forums who set the whole thing up, and took the awesome photographs. Highlight of the whole con, and considering everything else, that's really saying something (mostly, it's saying something about my priorities). ...Wish I could find that shot of me hitting Flash with the yo-yo, or Cold/Trickster/Flash (can't remember) catching me by my collar, but, well...I think that's enough photos for now, don't you?
